Happy New Year

Happy New Year!!

 Happy New Year everyone!!
I hope everyone had a safe, fun, happy new year. Did you stay up and watch the ball drop? I
shock-ly made it to 11 p.m. to see the ball drop in New York, but I didn't make it much father past that point, my littles didn't hardly either or well most of them anyways. My oldest stayed up to just past midnight and ended up sleeping on the sofa, youngest little was in bed by 8 p.m. and middle little ended up in my bed some how 10 mins to midnight. Hubby had to work, which is the norm for us.

Do you make a new years resolution? I don't ever make one anymore, even when I did I never stuck to them. And when I was about 25 or so I thought "If I have a goal for my self and my life, isn't it a little silly to wait until the new year? Why not just make the goal and work on it now regardless of what time of year it is?" So that's what I started doing, I figured if I was going to have a goal it didn't matter what time of year it is/was, it's right then that is best time to make it and start working on it.

Some things that we will be working on this year is getting our youngest little to potty train, his 2sd birthday is in March and he is already wanting to sit on the potty and letting us know when he has a dirty diaper. We have even gotten lucky a couple of times and although he had a slight dirty diaper he held the rest until he was on the potty to go. So pray that he ends up being easy to potty train!

All things are well here. It's just the normal- always super busy sometimes it seems like we are going 100 miles an hour all the time. And I am still cleaning in circles...
Sigh
I don't think that will ever change for me. I had an amazing day yesterday with a good friend in Dallas shopping and hanging out and when I got home my living room looked like.... well looked like I had been gone all day. No rest for the wicked, right? HAHAHA I guess I should be happy it's just the living room, it could had been a lot worse. On the bright side my hubby did as I asked and made sure the dishes from their dinner were done and the dishwasher was ran before bed so it could be unloaded in the morning. So I guess it's a neutral- dishes clean for the living room being a disaster zone. ha ha

Well I hear thumps and bumps coming from the other room so I better get in there and check it out!
Hope your start to the new year was a great one!

Pageflex Persona [document: PRS0000039_00070]The Weight of a Feather and Other Stories

The promise implicit in an anthology is that it aspires to present something different, unexpected”  Joyce Carol Oates (Introduction to The Oxford Book of American Short Stories)
From the classical form of ‘The Weight of a Feather’, first published by The Huffington Post (2013), to the suggestive allegory of ‘The Leopard and The Lizard’, this collection of short stories by South African author Judy Croome is an ideal mix of the familiar and the startling.

These vibrant slices of life testify to the mysterious and luminous resources of the human spirit. Whether feeling the harrowing emotion in ‘The Last Sacrifice’ or the jauntiness of ‘Jannie Vermaak’s New Bicycle’, the reader will delight in a plethora of stories that cross boundaries to both challenge and entertain with their variety.
