Am I on this Boat alone?

Am I in this Boat Alone?

Being a small business owner and stay at home mommy is great.......

BUT man I could use some more sleep! The other day while at Sam's Club my wonderful hubby bought me some new pillows, he mumbled something about how he is tired of me always trying to steal his.
I don't know what he is talking about just because I jump on them like a starving jackal to a free meal when he moves in the morning.... Geez
But these pillows.... I got to tell ya they are amazing, that perfect new pillow softness, all fluffy and perfect king sized for me. And if they call my name any louder then they are at the moment I am going to go back to bed and take a nap like a toddler. If only I could get Max aka Monster to take a nap then I could....Sigh .. oh what a wonderful thought that is...

But we have 2 extra kids with us for about a week starting tonight while their parents go out of town, the girls have a school dance, the weekend is filled with BBQs and birthday parties, and my house is a MESS and I'm not talking Oh gosh! need to pick up the hot wheel cars in the living I'm talking Ummmm... Where's the couch? I can't see the floor kind of dirty...

And as a wife and Mom, I feel it's my duty to keep the house up and running, like a well oiled machine. But lately I feel like the 0500 wake up calls and going to bed at 2200 hours is killllling me. Anyone else on this boat with me? But I have tried going to bed sooner, but it's always a mad dash to get things done after the kids have gone to bed-  product blogging, business editing, house cleaning, etc, etc...
And trying to get it done during the day with Monster is like nailing Jell-O to a tree.

Is it just me? Or would you like to be able to freeze time just to take a nap too?

Our Home Update

Our Home Update

 Post 1 of 2

Thought I would give you all an update on the AMAZING job that my hubby is doing on the house. When we first moved in all the work that needed to be done to the house was a little over whelming that's for sure, but my Hubby has been doing steady work on it since the day he move in- January 2012!  Here are some pictures from when we first moved in....
Our Street. Don't you just LOVE it?

This is to be my craft room

Our library

Our living room

Our dining room

Our kitchen (sort of!)

The 'down stairs' family room

Our staircase

 The upstairs hallway

Bedroom #1

Master bathroom

Bedroom #2

There are two more bedrooms and a Jack and Jill bathroom between bedroom #2 and #3 but I can't seem to find pictures of them any where although I know I have them somewhere! We also have a breakfast nook, guest bathroom, laundry room, maids closet, full house basement, and a separate guest house. Every single room., let me repeat that... EVERY. Single. Room. needs something done to it.

Here are some of our plans:
Up stairs:

We are putting in a private bathroom for every bedroom, moving the laundry up stairs, moving the master bathroom to the other side of the bedroom,  building a balcony off the front of the house, repairing and fixing all the bedrooms, building bigger closets in the master and room #3, building a sitting room in the master bedroom.
Down stairs:

We are expanding the kitchen by using the breakfast nook and making it part of the kitchen, building a HUGE pantry, building an outdoor kitchen and patio off of the back of the kitchen, repairing and painting the formal dining room, repairing and painting the living room and replacing the fireplace, redoing the craft room into a guest room/ craft room, replacing the pillars in the front of the house and fixing the front porch, completely remodeling the library to add in more book shelves and a bigger fire place, and the staircase needs to be refurbished. And don't get me started on the guess house we don't even know how to save it. We are thinking we are going to have to have it tore down and rebuilt from the bottom up.
Don't get me wrong this is a complete work of Love...well most days anyways.
We also have a huge brick wall that needs to be righted as well ( another current project my amazing hubby has going on!)

Well guess this post has going on long enough!! HAHA I will post again with updated pictures of the house and what we have done to it!

A Kids Update!

Soooo..................
It's been a while since I have really posted anything that was more on the personal side of things so I thought I would give you an up date on my kid's going on's...

Max

Max is now 15 months and has started walking! We are so thankful! We were worried that because he had a few seizures when he was younger that it might effect things like him walking and such. He is also talking up a storm!
He can say- Mom, Dad, hi, bye, no, more, eat, want, mine, Mimi, welche ( German for What), Love, liebe (German for Love), and I know that there are several more but for the life of me I can't think of them! He wears a 2T and we will call him Monster LOL He will always be our Monster Max.

Morgan

More is 7 now and will be headed into the 1st grade in the fall. He wants to play football again this year but he wants to play tackle although I see nothing wrong with tackle I'm not sure if he has enough size on him yet. Guess we will have to wait and see.  The school year went Perfect for him, he had an AMAZING teacher and never got a single grade below a 98%, we are so proud of him!

Melessa

Melessa has turned into quite the young lady, she currently has hot pink hair ( I dyed it for her) and is a social butterfly. I am starting to think the phone might be growing out of her head and that's why she is always on it! HAHA She did well in school this past year too, she had mostly A/B's and excelled in Science. In the fall she will be starting the 6th grade at the Middle School. I can't believe that she is so big already! I can't wait to see how she grows as a person this year. She is such a big help to me and her brothers. She  makes us so proud.

So that's my update LOL I know it's not much but there hasn't been anything exciting to write again in all honesty! It's just the same old same old here which is just fine with me!
