This is now one of our new favorite bed time reads, this is a story about a sweet girl visiting her grandparents. While there she goes exploring and discovers a magic bike, this bike takes her around the world to the jungle. This is a great read for bed time, not so short that your child will feel like there isn't enough and it's not so long that you feel it drags on forever.

The story is positive the entire way through and ends on a sweet "note" - a moment between Abigail and her grandfather. This story shows how with a little bit of child innocence and faith you can make it anywhere, even if it's just your child's imagination. 

The book has great illustrations with great colors, that kept  my 2 year old enticed through out the entire book. He loved pointing out things to me- trees, feathers, etc., etc...

  I will be looking for more books by this author, we are now big fans!

I have to say, until I hit that age old magical number of 30 years I never reallllly thought about my face, skin, and aging. Now that I am on the other side of 30, my expression lines aren't going away, I still have ugly breakouts, and I now see fine line and some not so fine lines I think about it all a lot more! I really like this serum, the ingredients are organic and natural which is why I believe the bottle is the size that it is, so that is doesn't "go bad" or at least that is what I think anyways. I even love the smell of the product! And YES, it works well, very well in face. From the first time that I used it, I could tell the " I have kids and never get any good sleep" circles under my eyes were lighter and softer looking. My skin has started to clear up as well. I didn't look like a teenager with an exploding face in the first place but as an adult the one or three huge zits I had were enough to make me feel like one. And although I still do get a zit every once in awhile, this serum seems to help my skin clean up faster then it did before I was using it.

It's not who I want to be, not as a parent or as a Christ seeking woman and wife. And I tend to blow up at my husband over stupid things. I don't think that there is ever been a time or reason that I needed to blow up at Mike, that's just tends to be my knee jerk reaction.

I was excited to get this book and start reading it, I knew that if the tips and principles were practical then it would work for me.
 And there are, The book is well thought out and written so it's easy to understand.
The book teaches you to be S.A.F.E. which means:
S – Stop and notice.
A – Acknowledge and accept.
F – Feel fully.

E – Exit if necessary and express when helpful.
and this means that:
Potential results: You transform a potential blow up into an opportunity for reflection, relaxation, emotional responsibility, positive modeling, and connection.

 The book it easy to navigate through and is an easy read, it will be a book that you come back to many times to remind your self and to refresh your mind of things.

This was a good read, one that is well written and well thought out.

I like how the author doesn't just jump right in to things, he talked about how things started out for him. How he understands that there are a million and one self help books out there and that is not his intention for this book necessarily. If it helps you in that manner then great! But he wanted to tell his story, he wants to tell it from his point of view, from the deepest depths of his depression to the highest point if faith with God.

He was brutally honest in this book but keeps it well written and lighter with humor.

 In the book he tells about how during an event when he was born left him with Cerebral Palsy, and how he has over come letting it define him and who he is.

  Incase you are unaware I am on a weight loss walk, jog,  journey  oh heck let's be honest... roller coaster.

And I needed something to help me get stable. I have only been taking these for about 2 weeks but so far so good. I have no odd or weird side effects, they don't make my blood sugar drop horribly, and I don't seem to be starving all the time like I was before.

I always try to drink at least half my body weight in ounces a day in water.  Which I think you should do regardless of your weight, it's just plain old good for your health and body.

These ketones, are taken 30 mins before 2 meals I tended to choose lunch and dinner and I found myself eating less at those meals. I always try not to eat so much that I feel 'full' just until I am no longer hungry.  I have lost only about 3 pounds and that's okay I figure that it's going to take me a little while before I really start losing anything 'big' I have a lot of fat that is in my muscle not just on top which is going to make it harder for me to lose.  I exercise on a regular basis and it's a good hard work out not just a " Oh gosh I'm sweating now, so I'm done." type of work out I'm normally begging for it to be over about 4.5 mins into it and my workout partner keeps me going the entire 45 mins by which time I have no tears left! HA!  

I don't think that these are going to be the next magic skinny pill, but I do think that if you are trying to lose weight that these could be a big help.

... okay, okay my husband laughed like a 1st grader when I told him I was making nut milk for the first time....

 

 I have never tried to make any type of nut milk ever before, so when I agreed to try this out I was excited and nervous. I mean how the heck am I going to be able to make the almond milk that my family drinks? But we feel that homemade and natural is best, so I was going to give it a shot! I figured it was worth what ever headache I was going to have if I was going to get drinkable almond milk from it!

 

 I did some research online to start to figure out what I needed and needed to do.  You receive a free e-book with your purchase, which goes on to explain what you need and how to do things.

I was quite impressed with this bag, it's strong and durable. Since this is my first milk bag I have nothing to compare it too, but from what I understand it's defiantly one of the better ones out there. The stitching and seams are strong and aren't going to rip and break about the first time that you use it.    

And since the mesh is so fine there isn't anything but liquid getting through. Although I haven't tried it yet- but have plans to-  you can use the pulp left over to make almond butter out of. I can't wait to make some, my family is going to be so excited!
 The milk it's self came out smooth and creamy.

Washing the bag was easy too, I just used a tiny bit of dish soap and rubbed the bag down and rinsed with warm water, and then just left it over the top of a cup.  There was just a tiny bit left in the seams and when it was dry I was able to shake it all out and then I just rinsed again and put it over a cup to dry again. Easy as that! I can't wait to try juicing with this bag! The thought of no seeds excites me! HAHA!

I was excited to get this screen to review, I have been 'eyeballing' them for a while now and just wasn't sure if they worked as well as they claimed.

They do work as well as they claim! It was super simple to put up- just some extra heavy duty hook and loop. It fit our back door well, no problems. Our back door is pretty standard size- pretty much the only one in the house that is a standard size! We have two different back doors, one where the dogs are and one out to the garage and guest house area, we choose the one going out to the guest house area because it gets the most use and we don't allow the dogs in the house.

The door is closed by several large magnets that are sewn into the mesh lining and they close behind you with out any work needed by you. The mesh screen is small enough that you don't have to worry about even little bugs getting though, it keeps them out. It's easy enough to take down, fold up, and store away if needed - we don't keep that door open all the time so having it up all the time doesn't work for us. But you are someone that wants it up for the entire summer and taken down in the winter it's something that you can do no problem. This is something that would make a great gift to put in a gift basket for a house warming gift, or for someone that has kids and/or pets that are always needing in and out of the house or slamming doors.

My first thoughts is of myself  in starvation...
Withering away to nothing but just a shell of my former self...
Ok not really but its a pretty unpleasant word to me.

 It normally means at some point I am going to feel like I'm starving which never ends well {Ever seen those old Donald Duck cartoons where he gets mad? Yep that's me!}.

 So when I was sent a DIET green smoothie book in all honestly I wasn't sure I really wanted to try it out. The skinny girl stuck inside of this fat girl body was screaming to try it out { I think she is just crying to get out, I ate her years ago and have been keeping her hostage ever since. }

This book was loaded with more information that I thought it would be, I figured it would just be 50 horrible over loaded Kale recipes that I was going to have to hold my nose and choke down to try them out. But there are several small chapters to start to book out explaining about the facts for green smoothies. Which I really like, I like knowing what the benefits are.  

But thank the good Lord I was proven wrong! There are some Kale recipes and if I had a clue where to get Kale I would try them out. But I have had several of the spinach recipes and they are pretty good. I like the very first one - apples and spinach. The green didn't overload the taste and with the little bit of honey and yogurt it called for made it sweet and smooth.  I don't really like chunky things  - I have this weird thing about textures. And smells. If it smells 'off' or it has an odd texture - chunky, gritty, or soggy I can't even pretend to be able to choke it down!

I didn't have any of those problems with these recipes. With 50 different recipes I'm sure that you can find at least 1 or 2 that you are going to love.

I have never been one to use any type of oil product on my skin other then coconut oil because I tend to break out very easily. So I figured I would just avoid oily things and it would help right?
