Diets.... dieting...
My first thoughts is of myself  in starvation...
Withering away to nothing but just a shell of my former self...
Ok not really but its a pretty unpleasant word to me.

 It normally means at some point I am going to feel like I'm starving which never ends well {Ever seen those old Donald Duck cartoons where he gets mad? Yep that's me!}.

 So when I was sent a DIET green smoothie book in all honestly I wasn't sure I really wanted to try it out. The skinny girl stuck inside of this fat girl body was screaming to try it out { I think she is just crying to get out, I ate her years ago and have been keeping her hostage ever since. }

This book was loaded with more information that I thought it would be, I figured it would just be 50 horrible over loaded Kale recipes that I was going to have to hold my nose and choke down to try them out. But there are several small chapters to start to book out explaining about the facts for green smoothies. Which I really like, I like knowing what the benefits are.  

But thank the good Lord I was proven wrong! There are some Kale recipes and if I had a clue where to get Kale I would try them out. But I have had several of the spinach recipes and they are pretty good. I like the very first one - apples and spinach. The green didn't overload the taste and with the little bit of honey and yogurt it called for made it sweet and smooth.  I don't really like chunky things  - I have this weird thing about textures. And smells. If it smells 'off' or it has an odd texture - chunky, gritty, or soggy I can't even pretend to be able to choke it down!

I didn't have any of those problems with these recipes. With 50 different recipes I'm sure that you can find at least 1 or 2 that you are going to love.

And one of the best parts... there was no starving skinny girl inside of me crying out for help! I felt full and the filled feeling stayed for a while, until my next meal time. This was perfect for me to do at lunch time.
